Microsoft Corp.’s board authorized a plan to shop for again up to $60 billion of its inventory, extending the tech large’s in depth repurchase program at a time when Congressional Democrats have proposed taxing firms that do buybacks.

Microsoft didn’t supply a timetable for the repurchases. It mentioned Tuesday this system doesn’t have an expiration date and might be terminated any time.
